About me
Throughout my life, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge about human behavior and the emotions that come with it. At the age of 14, I developed a deep curiosity about myself and the world. I devoured every book I could find in the library on self-development and relationships, while also observing both myself and the people around me. By 18, I was combining my physiotherapy studies with a teacher training course in Okido-Yoga, where I was introduced to yoga, meditation, shiatsu, macrobiotics, and a healthy, open way of living.
After six years, I earned my physiotherapy degree and gained work experience with children who had physical and mental disabilities. I also became a mother for the first time. Over the next eight years, while raising my four daughters, I ran an alternative health and consciousness center. There, I offered shiatsu treatments, emotional bodywork, yoga (for both adults and children), meditation classes, and supported pregnant women in preparing for natural childbirth.
Eventually, Belgium started to feel too small for me. We sold our house and embarked on a one-year adventure around the world. We traveled from the Netherlands to Tahiti, New Zealand, and finally settled in Spain. It was in Spain that I gave birth to my fifth and youngest daughter. We established ourselves in Visalibons, a village nestled in the Pyrenees, where, with the help of volunteers, we transformed a barn into a beautiful home. While I loved rural life, I also craved intellectual stimulation, which led me to pursue psychology. After 10 years of study, I earned my master’s degree.
Today, I provide third-generation cognitive behavioral therapy to a wide range of individuals—children, families, singles, couples, and anyone in need of support. I also work with corporate organizations, offering tailored solutions to managers and employees alike.
A special focus of my practice is on highly sensitive people (HSP), a group that I understand deeply, as both I and three of my daughters are HSP.
I offer both online sessions and in-person therapy in Spain, from the Pyrenees to Zaragoza. Additionally, I am available to conduct workshops and retreats by request at various locations.
Our home in Visalibons is available for rent to those seeking peace and nature or for individuals who want to combine their vacation with the benefits of therapy. Everyone is welcome here.
