The techniques used such as mindfulness, compassion and self-acceptance are not just for people with mental problems. These are useful tools which benefit everyone’s self-development. Mindfulness is more than a therapy as it stimulates a different way of thinking, brings awareness to the present moment and increases the enjoyment of life.

Everyone has moments of feeling sad or vulnerable; moments of finding it challenging to cope with daily tasks or finding it impossible to concentrate. Sometimes you get in the habit of worrying excessively or you feel nervous and fear that something bad will happen.

Maybe you use stimulants like tobacco, alcohol or drugs to cope with daily stress. In many occasions the help of friends and family is enough to deal with personal struggles and to get you back on track. But when their support is not enough; you will need to seek the advice of a therapist. It is important to find someone who you can trust and who understands you.
